Alex: the Dual Screen eReader by Spring Design
The Alex eReader may not be one of the big three (Nook, Kindle and Sony) when contemplating the eReader shop but it's certainly grand for the manufacture and functionality. At the first descry the first thing that enters your head is that it of course has a few extra tricks up its sleeve. It may look heavy for an eReader but I think the extra functions will make the extra weight worth it. The main screen is much like any general eReader at 6 inches long; E Ink technology ensures great readability in synthetic as well as natural light. The secondary Lcd screen is an Android powered 16-bit color touch screen. Not everybody is happy with the device's ergonomics because it only has a sole transmit page turn button and one backward button, one on each side of the reader. This makes development use of it difficult when reading particular handedly.
The features that the Android supported Lcd screen brings to the table are multimedia and browsing capabilities. You can watch news clips, movies, Flash videos or Mp4s. Enjoy music, news broadcasts and lectures whilst you read using the built-in Mp3 media player and speakers, or associate earphones to listen in private. The fact that you can browse the internet while simultaneously using the ebook reader screen is great. an additional one highlight is its energy rescue settings. Unlike other readers that have a colored screen and whose battery life is only a integrate of hours long, the Alex enables you to read offline for roughly 2 weeks. The main question we see would be its price, a hefty 9! This high price would hinder a prospective owner generally because if he or she adds an additional one hundred dollars they could have an iPad. In our opinion, for the Alex eReader to be top of a teenager's Christmas list would not be unheard of; but for the parents to spend the money to buy them one is an additional one story!
